Installing Muine from Packages
Muine is available through package repositories for the most popular Linux distributions.
- SUSE/OpenSUSE 10
- Ubuntu (Breezy or Dapper)
- Foresight Linux (Installed by default)
- Mandriva Linux (Cooker only)
- Gentoo Linux (Portage)
- Fedora (5 or 6)

Building Muine from Source
There are 2 main ways to get hold of Muine:
- The latest release tarball is available here (sha1sum: 42ae6c1bce257268be808ad27adcab4110f2bef8).
- You can check out Muine from GNOME SVN:
svn co http://svn.gnome.org/svn/muine/trunk muine
To build Muine from the source code, you will need:
- Mono
- Gtk#
- GStreamer 0.10.x
- The FLAC libraries
- The Ogg Vorbis libraries
